1851 N-10 R1 MS65. Lustrous bright mint red mellowing to light steel brown with 80% of the mint color remaining. A beautiful, original mint state cent. The only marks are a spot of bluish steel toning on the face before the eye, a speck of carbon on a single dentil under the 8, and a small planchet flake on the rim over the E in STATES (as struck). Great eye appeal. M-LDS, die state b. The die lines are gone and a tiny lump has formed before the eye. CC#4 in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $1,500-UP.
