1848 N-35 R2 MS62. Very attractive and highly lustrous medium chocolate brown with bluish steel overtones. Generous traces of original mint red remain visible, especially on the obverse. The only marks, and they are barely visible, are a spot of slightly darker toning hidden in the dentils right of star 8 and a tiny rim nick right of the F in OF. Great eye appeal for the grade. Tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. Estimated Value $450-UP. Ex Del Bland-Alan Meghrig 1/87-Dr. Phil Ralls-R. S. Brown, Jr., McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Superior 6/2/2002:629, The Northwest Collection. Categories: Test Category 7
